The white gazebo in Niagara-on-the-lake is almost as famous as Niagara-on-the-lake itself. On a property that started as the Queen’s Royal Hotel (where actual royalty stayed before the outbreak of the Great War), the gazebo is perfectly situated for a relaxing view of Lake Ontario. Queen’s Royal park is located at the mouth of the Niagara River where it empties into Lake Ontario. From here, you can be blessed with exceptional views of storms of the lake or even flocks of rare migratory birds. It’s a popular location for visitors.
For a wedding, especially a small wedding, this location can’t be beat. Of course the Gazebo and park is beautiful, but it’s the exploratory walking tour you can do through the old town of Niagara on the lake that sells it for me. You can start at the beach located steps away from the Gazebo and then explore history itself throughout the town. There is so much to excite a photographer!
This mini wedding showcases a beautiful cross-section of some of the scenes you will find in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The gazebo must be booked in advance to host your wedding celebration there. You can book it at the town’s website here. Great for smaller weddings up to 14 guests. But be warned, when you walk through town as a bride, you will be greeted like a princess by nearly everyone you meet!
Enjoy a refreshingly small wedding captured on a mix of film and digital in the heart of Old Town Niagara on the Lake. Get in touch with me to learn more about pricing for small weddings and elopements.
